Raid Towards Unworthy Transjakarta Bus Keeps Being Intensified

Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Andri Yansyah asserted, will keep raiding and grounding Transjakarta bus which still operates with expired road worthiness test (KIR).

"We will keep grounding Transjakarta bus if they are found still operating, despite failed KIR test," he asserted, Tuesday (10/20).

PT Transjakarta Supports Unworthy Transjakarta Fleet Grounded

He explained such condition is not fault of Motor Vehicles Test (PKB) place, yet it is because the unruly Transjakarta bus operator.

He also claimed has instructed the Management of PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) to tighten the bus operational controlled by operator.

"We have sent a letter to PT Transjakarta. If they can’t do it, we will evaluate and report it to Mr. Governor," he told.

According to him, based on the rules, the bus which is failed on KIR test in PKB, the bus must be repaired. After being repaired, the bus obligates to be tested again in PKB.

"The problem is, many buses failed on the test yet will not re-test," he expressed
